Creativity Weekends #Woolweek - 19th and 20th October

On the 3rd weekend of the month we begin to host Creativity Weekends - inviting local artists to bring along their own skill-based craft activities to our farm:

  • Saturday and Sunday

  • 10:00am - 1:00pm &/or 2:00 - 5:00pm

  • September - March 2020

  • Combination of natural materials including wool, willow, copper, silver, leather etc

Wool Week begins on the 7th October and now finishes on the 20th October and thus we are delighted to focus on WOOL as the natural resource

Here is the link to pre-book your workshops on Saturday 19th October with Jen Hunter - partner to Andy Wear the shepherd here who is behind Fernhill Fibre - Jen will be running her peg loom workshop in the morning session and French Knitting snoods in the afternoon.

Welcome to book half or full day and contact jen@fernhill-farm.co.uk with specific enquires

Here is the link to pre-book your workshops on Sunday 20th where we are hosting the following artists:

  • Learn to spin and / or knit with Christine Rice

  • Needle felt a 3D animal with Lesley Hill

Christine and Lesley have been the face of Fernhill Fibre at many events when Jen cannot get away from farm and home duties and both are experts with all natural fibres. We are very lucky to host their combined duo fibre scene in our cosy Saloon room where both workshops will run side by side.
