Join knitwear designer and natural dyer Ria Burns and learn how to bundle dye or dip dye a cosy scarf knitted in lambswool from Fernhill Farm. We’ll use plants grown in Ria’s garden or foraged for on the farm to create a unique, naturally dyed scarf that you can take home with you.
The scarf is knitted in a rib in naturally white lambswool and measures 33cm wide and 172cm long. The wool for the scarf was grown, shorn and sorted on the farm before being washed, spun and knitted in the UK, before being prepared for dyeing by Ria.
This workshop is part of Fernhill Farm’s Spring Blade Shearing Tournament and Open Day, where you are welcome to stay all day and be part of the activities and festivities. More information on the event can be found here: https://www.fernhill-farm.co.uk/blade-shearing-tournaments-and-open-days
