Unravel .... Autumn at Farnham Maltings

  • Farnham Maltings Bridge Square, Farnham GU9 7QR United Kingdom (map)

Held over two inspiring days, unravel... autumn, our celebrated yarn festival, returns offering a vibrant showcase of creativity, craftsmanship, and community.

Whether you’re an experienced maker or just beginning your yarn journey, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Discover beautifully crafted yarns and handmade goods, attend free talks from industry experts, and gain inspiration from talented creatives. Visitors can also develop new techniques and expand their skills through a wide range of bookable workshops designed for all abilities.

With a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of opportunities to learn, create, and connect with fellow enthusiasts, unravel... autumn promises a memorable celebration of contemporary yarn and textile culture.

New for Autumn 2026, at our second time exhibiting at Unravel, we are delighted to accept an invitation to offer a session where we explain how we create our products from “sheep to shop the natural way”

Jen shall take 45 minutes away from the stand to offer a talk, including a Q&A session afterwards sharing our life time adoration for sheep and their fabulous fleeces, understanding the science behind native British genetics, 100% grazing diets for quality, and how Andy has created the ability to shear all our sheep, over 4000 annually with the traditional hand shears we call ‘Blades’.

I will demonstrate how this affects the finished fibres that are next to our skin, linking a decade of insisting of working only with local processors and how we still know the face of every person / sheep who creates all our fleeces, felts, fabrics within our shop products.

Come for a listen if you like, be an honour to help increase the understanding of natural farming systems for quality and quantity in a finished yarn - link is here - 11am on Saturday September: Fernhill Fibre | Farnham Maltings
