Fibre Experience - Full Day or Half day - 21st and 22nd September

from 25.00

Whilst @ Fernhill Farm for a full or part day why not enjoy a relaxing fibre craft activity or two!

Using fleece and yarn from our sheep's wool to make a tuffet on a peg loom, and /or a French-knitted snood, you can still be amongst some of the sheep that provide the wool and see how and where they're shorn.

Full Day includes the two craft sessions and Half day includes just one of the following options:

Peg-loom tuffets

This simple form of weaving uses our raw fleece to create a textured tuffet that can be used as a cushion for sitting by a campfire or on a picnic. USe our naturally coloured fleece to create patterns of stripes or gradients.

French-knitted snoods

This is an oversized version of French knitting, using both our dyed and naturally coloured yarns in various weights and textures to create a light, airy neck-warmer.

Tea, coffee and a few farm nibbles will be available throughout the day and please note that proceeds from these workshop will be donated to the chosen fundraising causes thanks

All equipment and materials will be provided for the workshops and no previous skills are required for either workshop activity
