Excited to offer the DOUBLE BED ROLL to the Fernhill Sheepskin Collective

These skins are from our mature sheep so are generally a good size, shorter lengths of combed fluffy fibres that are super soft without any kemp.

The leather on the back is semi pliable so they can be used as a lightweight travelling bed roll, sofa covering and as a full length chair cover.

Average size / skin:

31” x 2 skins sown end to end as full length heads to tails - approx. 60 “

25” - 28” width at widest belly parts

Three lightweight bed rolls at approx. 3-4cm cm wool length, and one longer coated heavyweight roll available, approx. fibre length 8-10cm

This heavier weight is in the sale as it has a small patch of WOOL-SLIP that simply means a bold spot without any wool attached to the leather - a small fault at the salting stage - see last 3 photo’s

Every fleece is slightly different, that’s what makes these skins real and unique and these two-skin double bed roll are sewn end to end by a professional local company

We cut and salt them here at our farm and personally drop off and collect direct from the tannery here in the UK, with Andy selecting the very best wool qualities, fibre length, colours, crimp and size to provide a range of skins suitable for many occasions
