Hand made leather journal, made by Badger House Leather in Fernhill Farm leather

These journals are hand crafted - cut and sewn by hand by our lovely sister-in-law from Frome who expertly designs and delivers these for us using our own leather. The have two paper journals inside for all your notes, which can be replaced so this piece of treasure is timeless

Our story:

In 2021 we decide to create our own Fernhill Farm verified regenerative leather and we are so delighted with the results as in 2022 we received our EOV verified regenerative status from Savory Institute

This hide was from a barren cow, born here amongst our home-bred herd of Aberdeen Angus Cattle and her mother and daughters are still here with us - this means such a lot to Andy, who secretly adores his cattle as much as his many flocks of sheep

Working with Robson and Grady, our hide was collected from the abattoir and salted by Jen here on the farm, before being taken to Thomas Ware and Son in Bristol, our local veg tannery. Something happened along its route and ended up being taken over to Leicester, not ideal but still offering us a small carbon footprint when compared to most leather we see, which has no known origin
