Selection of Pure Romney Rams Raw Fleeces, blade shorn April 2026, by our Master Shearer Andy Wear - several are shearlings, all are hand picked and skirted with little or no vegetable matter (VM) in their exceptionally clean coats
These are all huge masses of strong, dense, long, colourful fibres from the Organic Romney flock - fleeces are ideal to make as dog beds, peg loom weaved into massive rugs, hand spinning, mill spun into yarns etc
We are offering these at £9 - £15 per kilo age and colour depending:
White No. 11 @ 1.4 kg - photo 1, 2, 3 - shearling
Coloured No. 10 @ 2.2kg - photos 4 & 5 - all the native shades
White No. 9 @ 2.3 kg - photos 6 & 7
White No. 8 @ 2.5kg - photos 8 & 9 - coarse with high lustre
White No. 7 @ 2.8kg - photos 10 & 11 - shearling, very soft
White No. 6 @ 2.6kg - photos 12, 13, 14
Coloured No. 4 @ 2.7kg - photos 15 &16 - shearling, extra long, very soft in mixed shades
All fleeces are Blade Shorn and sorted on grading tables to remove bellies, britches, crutch, topknots, checks, spray marker & most veg matter, dust, dirt, dags etc
