Romney X Lustre Long Dark Shearling Fleeces are new to our wool clip this season, the creation of crossing our wonderful coloured Romney Rams over our lustre flock ladies - this is an interesting fleece as maintained some BFL style curls together with extra long, densely dark, semi-open locks too

Selected for strength, cleanliness, bright and open locks, beautifully soft, fluffy, long locks in native dark, almost black fibres
Fleece weight 2.4kg (please le us know if you only want half of this big black beauty as I am offering to split fleeces in 2026)
Fibre Length: 15-20cm
With a lovely soft structure, these fleeces are ideal for hand spinning, felting and fibre arts, keeping washing and carding to a minimum
These raw fibres are freshly shorn and the very cream of our crop as we only select the very best fleeces for individual purchase.
All fleeces are Blade Shorn and sorted on grading tables to remove bellies, britches, crutch, topknots, checks, spray marker & most veg matter, dust, dirt, dags etc
All New Season Fleeces come packed in our new Fernhill Fibre Wide Gusset Cotton Bag*, designed to reduce postage fees, the use of new cardboard and one-use labels. Ideal to carry and store fleeces easily and then be washed and reused time and time again - we hope you like them, please let us know your thoughts
