Woolly Workshop - Peg Loom weave your own Tuffet

£40.00

Peg-loom Tuffet Rugs - our original and best workshop at Fernhill Farm

This simple form of weaving uses our raw fleece to create a textured tuffet that can be used as a cushion for sitting by a campfire or on a picnic.

Ideal in front of a wood fire and/or wood burner, the very fact that real sheep fleece self exhausts means that if sparks or hot embers fall onto these rugs, they do not catch fire or emit toxic fumes like many synthetic rugs do - another fabulous reason to choose local British wool - and even better, make your own - no previous skills are required to make a tuffet as its an accessible workshops for most ages and abilities.

Select from our vast ranges of naturally coloured fleece to create patterns of stripes or gradients, using fleece from our sheep's wool to make a tuffet on a peg loom, you can see sheep fleece in its raw format, and see how and where they're shorn.
