Andy Wear will be your international Blade Shearing tutor for this introductory offer, teaching both methods of sheep shearing for many years in our purpose built shearing shed - come along and learn the basics with the masters in a relaxed group setting amongst other learners (or individually) and our beautifully coloured calm sheep & patient shepherds

Many small-holders struggle to find a shearer to remove the annual fleece and we created these gift tokens to enable those who wish to learn the skills of sheep shearing by hand with the traditional blades or the electrical clippers

This half day intensive training will focus on the blades, sharpening, correct handling procedures as well as removing the fleece in a safe and calm manor as Andy has been an advocate for using hand shears known as "blades" since experiencing the benefits it offers the sheep in changing climatic conditions

Careful attention to the removal of the fleece ensures it is suitable for all craft activities as we measure all aspects of wool harvesting for future uses - a fleece can be available to take away if you wish
