Silver Mist iii - 4PLY Yarn in Romney X Lustre shearlings wool
Our third batch of Silver Mist is now in stock - Romney Shetland shearlings fleece, with more than a hint of extra shine from blending our own coloured Lustre Flock fleece into this yarn too - creating a light airy yarn, full of bounce and shimmer from the lustrous long wool Romney and Lustre breeds
Our original batch of Silver Mist arrived on one of those typical misty Mendip days, the colours reflected the light, desperate to shine bright here and thus become known as Silver Mist just like the weather
Silver Mist ii arrived in December 2025 and is a lighter shade than both the original and this new batch, offering lots of opportunities to purchase this yarn in a multiple of similar shades, all with the same sheen and lustre
Silver Mist iii is designed to suit the Semo Jumper pattern in the book Wonder of Wool*
This 4ply knitting yarn is a single source yarn from our flock of native Romney X Shetlands - every fleece Blade shorn and hand picked to be just perfect for spinning, from our regenerative farm here in Somerset - read all about our EOV results here
